Learn Chinese via Skype with eChineseLearning
My wife’s company, eChineseLearning, was mentioned in PC World last week. Yay!
eChineseLearning is a company whose teachers teach Chinese over Skype. If you want to learn Chinese from the absolute best teacher in the world, go to eChineseLearning and ask for Joanne.

Nice. There’s someone I know that started the e-teachers website with a similar idea, and it’s a big success. It’s a bit more complicated than Skype, though.
link to demo, if you’re interested

Oh, makes me remember a question I’ve been wanting to ask for some time:
Can you use Skype to call from China to - say for example - Denmark
I read some time ago that Chinese Phone companies closed that ports you needed to dial out of China, but I am not sure if it is still an issue?
I’ll be going to China in July, and would be in need of Skype. Other alternatives are welcome too of course, but I know Skype well, and would hate to depend on the random calls I could make when the receiver was on MSN

I call my family in the States all the time with Skype’s Skypeout feature. You just need to put some money on your Skype account to use it. My dad puts $10 on it for me from time to time. I’m sure you can call Denmark via Skypeout from China. Keep in mind though that you’ll need a broadband connection in China to make this work.
